先介绍世界语：
世界语（Esperanto）是最为广泛使用的人工语言。波兰眼科医生柴门霍夫（Łazarz Ludwik Zamenhof）在对其进行了十年的创作工作后于1887年创立了这个语言的基础。其定位是国际辅助语言，不是用来代替世界上已经存在的语言。今天，以世界语为母语的人士约1000人。能流利使用的人估计十万到两百万人。

再介绍柴门霍夫
在童年时代，柴门霍夫就学会了波兰语、俄语、德语，上中学以后，他勤奋学习，又掌握了拉丁语、希腊语、法语、英语、乌克兰语。从１６岁起就开始致力于国际语的研究，他仔细分析各种语言的特点，探索它们之间的共同规律，经过两年多的刻苦钻研，终于完成了后来叫做世界语的初步方案，这时他才１９岁。
